I have two theology degrees.
I don't know if that impresses you - it isn't supposed to.
But because I have two theology degrees and I am a pastor, I get asked questions about God often.
Sometimes there is a clear and simple answer from the Bible, but a lot of times there isn't.
Some people get uncomfortable when there isn't a simple or clear cut answer.
I have come to the point where I find great comfort knowing that there often isn't one.
God is eternal and infinite. I am not. This means there will always be things about God that I do not understand.
This is a good thing. This is the point the Apostle Paul is making.
Nobody can know the inner workings of God and His way of thinking and seeing.
Which is great news, because if I knew all of that then I would be god and not Him.
I make a terrible god.
May you find comfort in knowing there are not always answers.
May you find comfort in knowing that God is bigger than you can ever understand.
And may you find comfort in knowing that the God who is too big to figure out, is the God who is in control of all things.
